At first glance I thought you were referring to Arromanches-les-Bains (the site where the allies built an artificial harbor in 1944 to support the Normandy invasion) but I see that Avranches is near Mont Saint-Michel. So I guess that UNESCO world heritage site is your destination tomorrow.
I’m glad you found a good ‘merican restaurant. Normandy has been a top destination for American tourists since WWII and the region has developed a pretty decent tourism infrastructure to host them.
My aunt studied in France when she was in college. She said the best part of her time in Normandy was that there was real American toilet paper. Nice think 2-ply. I guess the French kind closer to Paris is not too fun for American behinds….
