We started our day early with a train ride out to Versailles. You know, the palace which was the center of power in France. Yeah, we’re here and it’s huge. Enormous. Pompous. Visible from space. As Darth Vader- builder of space stations which rival small moons- might say, “Most impressive.”

In one of the rooms in the Chateau there is, up near the ceiling, a quip from one of the Louis (XIV maybe) that reads “Le Roy C’est Moi!” Yes, Versailles was intended to “wow” the other royals of Europe.
